Summery of
findings and outcome |
The
project developed technical specifications and conducted market
studies of potential applications for jute geotextiles in
erosion control, agro-mulching, and rural road pavement
applications. A dissemination workshop was held in Sept’96. A
techno-economic manual has been published and is available from
the Secretariat of the Common Fund (CFC Technical Paper No.1) |

Based on
the results and outcome another project has recently been funded
by CFC viz. “Development & Application of Potentially Important
Jute Geotextiles” and is currently being implemented in
Bangladesh & India. |
