Packaging Material

Hessian, Sacking, Scrim and Carpet Backing Cloth (CBC), Canvas are the most commonly used fabrics of jute.

Packing and wrapping represent other important uses of jute. Jute wraps are usually used for wrapping of raw textiles, e.g., bales of cotton and wool.  Jute wraps also protect plants in winter.

Some of the technical advantages of jute packaging materials compared to its synthetic counterparts are: resistance to tearing and fibrillation, ease of repair, high surface friction coefficient, better stacking stability, free from stack heating effects, better breathability etc.

Jute packaging materials are preferred from a renewable, reusable, recyclable, biodegradable point of view and are less energy intensive in production cycles.
