Jute Blankets

The blankets produced from jute have high thermal insulation value, and high abrasion resistance. These blankets are not affected by moths and could be cheaper than blankets made from cotton, wool or synthetic fibre (acrylic/polyester). These blankets made either of jute or in combination with other fibers like acrylic, polypropylene, wool etc., are produced through two different production processes: non-woven or felt blankets and woven blankets.  These blankets are washable; colour is fast to washing and free from health hazards and are most suited for use by poor people.

Stuffing Material from Jute, Stuffed Quilts etc.

Processes have been developed to make use of jute caddis from jute mills.  Through low cost chemical processing the caddis are transformed to almost cotton like substances i.e. stuffing material.  These may be directly used to substitute costly cotton in making quilts, cushions and mattresses as fillers.
