In Nepal there are two sets of grading for each of White jute (C. capsularis)
and Tossa jute (C. olitorius). One is called Domestic Grade and the other is
called Export Grade. The Domestic Grades for both white and tossa jute are called Top,
Middle, Bottom and Rejection. The Export Grades for White jute are called Export First,
Export Lightning, Export Hearts and Cuttings. The Export Grades for Tossa jute are called
Dundee Tossa-4, Outport Tossa - 2/3, Outport Tossa-4 and cutting. |
